If you get stuck, this page will help you out. It walks you step by step through all the clues. You can cheat... but hopefully not. Scroll slowly down the page so you only get the clue you need.
Have you looked through the books? Maybe there is a hint hidden there.
There should be a hint paper hidden in the book with a secret compartment.
Does it look familiar from anywhere in the room?
Try the calendar on the wall.
The hint card and calendar should give you 9 from the first green box and 11 from the second.
See if you can find where this goes.
Open the telephone box with the 911 code.
Have you found a cypher for the inscription inside?
Try the rug.
Using the rug cypher and the inscription, you should have 7943.
This should open the lock that lowers the birdcage down.
Pull the treasure box out of the cage. Put together the code under the treasure box.
830 opens the treasure box.
This key should open the lockbox under the desk.
Use the papers in the lockbox to open the next lock.
The code is C04L9 which opens the toolbox.
Put together the puzzle pieces to open the last lock.
The last code is 1890. If you carefully unlock the lock and remove the wooden slat, you should be able to open the secret door and save the coal miners!
